Diver suffers heart attack in waters off West Seattle
SEATTLE -- A scuba diver was rushed to a hospital after suffering a heart attack Friday in Elliot Bay.

Medics were called to the 1600 block of Harbor Avenue Southwest where police harbor patrol boats had helped pull the man from the water about 2:30 p.m.

The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center, but his current condition is not known.

Seattle Fire Department Battalion Chief Phil Jose said the man was with another diver off Seacrest Park when he began experiencing breathing problems.

By the time he was met by medics on shore, Jose said, the man had gone into cardiac arrest.
