SEATTLE -- When Kim Nicholson and her husband were walking Sunday afternoon something was missing.

"Payton is like our child basically," Kim said. "So we just feel totally lost and I mean hurt and we just really, really, want to find him."

Payton is a 10-month-old schnoodle that was stolen Saturday night from the Nicholson's car while it was parked behind Piecora's Pizza on Capitol Hill.

In grainy security camera video, two men are seen scoping out the parking lot before smashing the car window and taking the dog to their own car.

The Nicholsons filed a police report and hope someone will help return their dog.

"We just want our dog back," Kim said. "We just really want Payton home."

The Nicholsons are offering a reward and asked anyone with information to call Seattle police.
