Bomb comments lead to scare on Washington State ferry
SEATTLE - A state ferry was held at the terminal in downtown Seattle this morning while it was searched by bomb-sniffing dogs because of suspicious comments made by a passenger.

State Patrol Sergeant Craig Johnson says no explosives were found and the man who made the comments is being released.

State ferries spokeswoman Susan Harris says the ferry Tacoma was on the 7:55 run from Bainbridge Island when passengers overheard the man making "some sort of bomb comments."

They told the crew who called state troopers to meet the ferry when it arrived at the terminal.

Troopers questioned the man and searched the vessel with dogs.

The ferry's scheduled departure was delayed nearly an hour.
