Area gas prices up 17 cents
BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) - The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gas in Washington is $2.33.

That's up 17 cents in the past month and it's 27 cents higher than the national average.

Gas prices for some metro areas reported in Monday's AAA survey:

Bellingham $2.36, Bremerton $2.33, Seattle-Bellevue-Everett $2.33, Tacoma $2.30, Olympia $2.33, Vancouver $2.28, Yakima $2.33, Tri-Cities $2.34, Spokane $2.29.
