SEATTLE (AP) - The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed 50 additional cases of swine flu in Washington, bringing the total to 83.
The state Department of Health released the new CDC results Friday afternoon.
Since Thursday's update, 31 new cases were confirmed in King County, 10 in Snohomish County, three in Pierce County and one in Spokane County. Thurston, Skagit and Whatcom counties each has its first confirmed case, and Clark County has its first two confirmed cases.
King County now has a total of 56 confirmed cases, Snohomish County has 16, Pierce has 4, Clark and Spokane counties each have two. Whatcom, Skagit and Thurston each have one.
State health officials also added 23 new probable cases on Friday.
