Three Rainier Auto Group dealers close up shop
BURIEN, Wash. -- Three auto dealerships that are part of the Rainier Auto Group have closed up shop.
Auburn Nissan, Eastside Hyundai, and Burien Nissan all closed their doors Tuesday. A fourth dealership in the group, Eastside Subaru, has been bought by another company. Rainier is withholding the name of the buyer until Wednesday.
All four dealerships had their inventory confiscated by their respective car companies back in March. They remained open for business but the lots were empty.
At the time, the problem was blamed on crumbling financing and the dealerships squabbling with the auto companies about how things should be done.
No other details were available.
