Quilcene bike rider killed on Highway 101
DISCOVERY BAY, Wash. - The State Patrol says a 51-year-old Quilcene man riding a bike on Highway 101 was struck and killed by a car.

Trooper Krista Hedstrom said the bicyclist entered the roadway in front of the car Thursday about four miles south of Discovery Bay.

The car, a '98 Ford Mustang driven by a 47-year-old Quilcene man, slowed down to pass the rider. But the bicyclist veered in front of the car and was struck, according to the State Patrol.

The driver was not given a ticket for the accident, but was cited for driving with a suspended license.
