RENTON, Wash. - An arrest has been made in the death of a Renton man, whose body was found in a ditch late Monday.

Neighbors spotted the body Monday night just after 9 p.m. in a ditch on the side of the road in the 9800 block of 148th Avenue Southeast. That's near the Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park.

The King County Sheriff Department's Major Crimes Unit was called to the scene and detectives spent several hours searching for evidence.

Investigators have not said yet who the victim is or where he's from, but sheriff spokesman John Urquhart said the man "died from homicidal violence." The King County Medical Examiner's office will perform an autopsy to determine exactly how the man died.

Urquhart said deputiesarrested a 49-year-old man in connection with the murder on Tuesday afternoon. The victim and the suspect apparently knew each other, he said.
