Woman, 44, killed in Kitsap Co. motorcycle crash
POULSBO, Wash. - A 44-year-old woman out riding her motorcycle was killed when an oncoming vehicle turned left directly in front of her on a two-lane Kitsap County highway.

State Patrol troopers said the woman, Miriam T. Snyder of Bremerton, was heading east on Highway 308 near Scandia Road on her Kawasaki VN800A motorcycle when the accident happened. She was riding with another motorcyclist.

Suddenly a Chevy Trailblazer driven by a 22-year-old Silverdale woman turned left in front of Snyder and her companion. Snyder was unable to stop in time and collided with the Trailblazer. The other motorcyclist laid down his bike to avoid a collision.

Snyder was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers said drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the collision.
