SPAM for lunch? You got curbed!

Korean, Hawaiian and Mexican with a dash of Twitter. It's Seattle's newest food fusion.

The Marination Mobile is a taco truck, serving Hawaiian-Korean food, and was the brainchild of Kamala Saxton and Roz Edison.

"This really started from my love and Roz Edison's love of street food," explains Saxton. Neither felt they had found a Hawaiian-Korean restaurant in town serving the type of food they were making at home. But they ultimately decided, home wasn't where they wanted to serve that food. That's where the love of curb cuisine came in and the idea of a taco-truck took shape.

The Twitter part of this recipe came from Los Angeles, where earlier this year a taco-truck began serving Korean BBQ and alerting patrons of their daily location via the micro-blogging technology.

Now Saxton says they're trying to do it all, "We post our locations on our website marinationmobile.com and we reach our customers through Twitter."

Marination Mobile opened on a curb in Fremont Wednesday for lunch and was out of food within two hours.

Aaron Brooks was picking up his food as he pointed out another plus, "I got four tacos, it was like 8-bucks."

Saxton says the taco menu includes Kalbi, Spicy pork, Ginger Miso Chicken and Sexy Tofu. You can also order Kaluah Pork sliders, Kimchi Quesadilla or SPAM Musubi.

Ben Sharp works down the street and when someone in his office mentioned Marination Mobile was pulling up outside he said, "I can't believe I haven't had Korean-Hawaiian yet, so let's go try it."

Saxton says they're hoping to attract customers who are hungry for something a little different.

"Seattle doesn't know about SPAM yet, SPAM or Kimchi. We want to bring it to them and we want to bring it to them on the curb."
