Steilacoom soldier killed in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON - An Army officer from Steilacoom has died in combat while serving in Afghanistan, Army officials said Friday.
First Lt. Brian N. Bradshaw, 24, died Thursday in Kheyl, Afghanistan, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle, the Army said. Bradshaw was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, based in Fort Richardson, Alaska. He was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom at the time of his death. |
