30 cars stolen in 30 days in Kitsap County
KITSAP COUNTY, Wash. -- A car theft ring is making its round around the county.

Thirty cars have been stolen from local parking lots and apartment complexes since early June. The number equates to a car a day.

But it appears the night-time thieves aren't looking for the most expensive cars. They've got their eyes on Hondas and Toyotas -- cars with parts that are in demand.

Deputies say in many of the cases, the drivers had left their car windows down, making it easy for thieves to break in.
Kitsap County ranks among the worst in the state for car thefts.

Detectives say aside from the obvious, the best precaution drivers can take against thieves is to get a car alarm installed.
