Snohomish County man with swine flu dies
EVERETT, Wash. (AP) — Health officials say a Snohomish County man is the fourth Washington resident with a confirmed case of swine flu to die.
Snohomish Health District spokeswoman Suzanne Pate told The Herald on Thursday that the latest case involved an unidentified middle-aged man who also had other unspecified health problems. He died June 24.
In addition to the four deaths, the state Department of Health Web site says 98 state residents have been hospitalized with the illness.
The other deaths have involved a Seattle man in his 70s, a Snohomish County man in his 30s and a Tacoma woman in her 20s. All had underlying health conditions.
