Aberdeen soldier killed in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON -- A soldier from Aberdeen was one of two killed on the Fourth of July in Afghanistan.
The Department of Defense says 20-year-old Aaron Fairbairn died at Combast Outpost Zerok when insurgents attacked. 19-year-old Justin Casillas of Dunnigan, Calif., was also killed. They were both based out of Fort Richardson, Alaska. |
