Ravensdale woman killed in Oregon crash

SEATTLE -- A woman from Ravensdale, Wash. was killed in a motorcycle crash in Oregon on Monday.

Oregon State Police said Ann M. Poole, 50, was headed east on Highway 126E while following her husband on a motorcycle when she lost control at a point where the road slightly curved right around noon. Poole crossed the center line and crashed into a guard rail near near the border of Linn and Lane counties southwest of Santiam Pass.

Poole, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from her bike and pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash has not been determined.

The highway was closed for some time following the crash during the investigation.
