High school student killed, five others injured in crash
KALAMA, Wash. (AP) - A 15-year-old girl was killed when the SUV in which she was riding with five other Kalama High School students crashed today in Kalama.

The victim was identified as Samantha Garner. She died at the scene.

The Cowlitz County Sheriff's Office reports the SUV was traveling up a hill, crossed the center line on a curve, went onto a gravel shoulder, rolled over and hit a tree on the passenger side. The accident happened after 12:45 p.m.

The five other occupants of the SUV were all injured, one of them critically. A 14-year-old boy was taken by air to the Oregon Health Science University Hospital in Portland, where he was listed in critical condition.

The driver was a 15-year-old boy who was driving his parent's SUV. The driver, another 15-year-old boy and two 14-year-old boys were taken to St. John Hospital in Longview, with non-life threatening injuries.
