Help sought identifying man whose bones were found near school
LACEY, Wash. -- Investigators are asking for the public's help identifying a man whose remains were found in woods near an elementary school.

Children playing near Meadows Elementary School found a human skull on April 30, and detectives who searched the area found more remains that are believed to all be from the same man.

Thurston County Sheriff Chief Criminal Deputy Jim Chamberlain said that while no evidence of murder has been found, it is still not known who the man is or how he died.

Detectives have released a sketch (above) created by forensic anthropologists that shows what the man may have looked like. He is believed to have been a white man, about 6 feet tall and with some Latin or Asian ancestry.

Chamberlain said it is possible the man may have stayed at an old campsite near where the bones were found.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Detective Dave Haller at 360-786-5279. People who want to leave an anonymous tip can call Crime Stoppers at 360-493-2222.
