SEATTLE -- An 85-year-old woman has been reunited with her prized dog that was stolen from her home last moth.
A tall, well-dressed man walked into Wonedith Peters' backyard and asked for a drink of water. While inside, he stole little Suzie.
Police found and returned Suzie Thursday evening.
"I am the happiest person on this Earth," Peters said. "I prayed and I prayed and I said, "dear God, send her to me. Send her back to me so I can take care of her."
Peters doesn't know how police found her dog. They're expected to more release information soon, along with more on the suspect.
But Peters noticed the crook had shaved off some of Suzie's hair, perhaps to disguise her appearance.
"It made me sad because she had such a beautiful coating," Peters said.
In due time, Suzie's hair and her relationship with peters, will grow.
"I'm going to keep her and love her," she said.
While Peters is reveling in this reunion, she has a message for the man who took her beloved pet:
"I want to smack your face good!"
