Man killed in crash along Evergreen Way
EVERETT -- A man in his 20s was killed Friday evening in a crash along Everett's Evergreen Way.
He was driving a Toyota southbound at 6:15 p.m. when he tried to turn left into a parking lot in the 9000 block. A northbound Acura T-boned the Toyota, killing the man inside.
The man driving the Acura and a female passenger were both taken to Providence Hospital's Colby Campus in Everett but their injuries were considered non-life-threatening.
Initial indications are the Acura may have been speeding, said Sgt. Robert Goetz with the Everett Police Department, but there are no indications that alcohol was a factor.
The victim's name has not been released.
Northbound traffic was being detoured around the scene Friday evening.
