Man stabbed in neck at Seattle homeless center
SEATTLE -- What began as an argument at a local homeless shelter ended with a man getting stabbed in the neck.
Police said two clients of the shelter in the 500 block of Third Avenue got into an argument on Tuesday morning. The situation escalated until the 48-year-old client stabbed the 20-year-old man in the neck around 10:30 a.m.
The victim was rushed to Harborview Medical center with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect fled the scene, but investigators said both the victim and the suspect are clients of the shelter and therefore well-known by the staff.
It is not known what the two were arguing over prior to the stabbing. The investigation is ongoing.
