PORTLAND, Ore. - A truck hauling two tankers full of milk ran into trouble on Interstate 84 westbound near Northeast 122nd Avenue Thursday morning, spilling 7,000 gallons of the white stuff and snarling traffic.

Crews responded to the scene about 6 a.m. and quickly closed two lanes of traffic, causing a rush-hour backup that reached back to near Troutdale.

No injuries were reported and one lane remained open as crews worked to clean up the milk and remove the overturned trailer.

No cause for the accident was announced Thursday morning, but tow trucks could be seen hauling away vehicles from the accident scene.
