Coyote blamed for car crash south of Lake Quinault
NEILTON, Wash. (AP) - A coyote in the road has been blamed for a one-car crash south of Lake Quinault.
According to a Washington State Patrol report, 19-year-old Kylie L. Wilson of Hoquiam to swerved to avoid the coyote on U.S. Highway 101. His northbound 2008 Mazda M3 went off the shoulder and over an embankment, overturned and landed on its wheels at 11:28 p.m. Saturday night about five miles south of Neilton.
Wilson and a passenger, 17-year-old Shayne T. Anderson of Port Angeles, were taken to Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen with non-life-threatening injuries. Both had been wearing seat belts.
