SEATTLE - A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured Tuesday night by a pizza delivery vehicle.

Police and medics responded to the scene, in the 600 block of West Nickerson St in North Queen Anne, just after 9 p.m. after receiving 911 calls about a car hitting a pedestrian, said Seattle Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore.

A 65-year-old man was found at the scene with injuries that are serious but are not believed to be life-threatening. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center.

A preliminary investigation found that the man was struck by a Pizza Hut delivery car. The victim hit the windshield and roof of the car.
