Road rage incident ends in crash on Hwy. 512
SUMMIT, Wash. - One man was hospitalized after a road rage incident between two drivers ended in a collision Saturday evening in Pierce County.

State troopers were called to the scene, near the intersection of Highway 512 and Canyon Road, at about 5:30 p.m.

Investigators said a 20-year-old Tacoma woman driving a 1995 Honda Civic got into a road-rage incident with a 30-year-old Tacoma man driving a 2007 Nissan Frontier.

As both vehicles headed east on Highway 512, they crashed into one another at Canyon Road.

The driver of the Nissan was transported to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment of his injuries. His vehicle was totalled.

The driver of the Honda and her passenger, a 21-year-old Bonney Lake woman, were treated at the scene by medics and released. The Honda sustained $3,000 damage.

It's unknown whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash, troopers said.
