BREMERTON, Wash. -- Wildlife agents have captured a 100-pound bear that was spotted in man's back yard early Monday.
The homeowner spotted the bear about 4:16 a.m. after seeing a trail of damage around his fruit trees.
Police tracked the bear to nearby Warren Avenue Field and chased her up a tree, allowing wildlife agents to use a tranquilizer dart to put her to sleep.
The bear fell a few feet to the ground and was not injured.
Two bear cubs were captured in the area last week, and officials plan to release the female bear in the same area where the cubs were released.
