Three arrested in Bellingham shooting death

BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) - Three people have been arrested in a shooting death in Bellingham that police say stemmed from a drug deal gone bad.

Ryan F. Anderson was killed April 2nd.

Bellingham police say 27-year-old Arthur Tyree Scott and 25-year-old Marcus Marquette Johnson, both of Everett, were arrested yesterday for investigation of first-degree murder.

Nineteen-year-old Jessica A. Wentz, of Lynnwood, was arrested for investigation of complicity to commit murder.

Bellingham police say Johnson and Scott arranged through an acquaintance to buy a quarter pound of cocaine from Anderson.

In court documents, investigators say Wentz allegedly drove the two to Anderson's apartment, where Scott allegedly shot Anderson in the head before all three fled in the vehicle driven by Wentz.

Court records show all three have criminal records, with offenses ranging from robbery to drug crimes.

Bail for Scott and Johnson was set at $1 million each. They are scheduled to be arraigned April 20th.
