OSO, Wash. - A school bus with children aboard has collided with a car in a rural area of Snohomish County, state troopers said.


 The school bus sustained minor damage in the crash, including tires shredded of the rims.
Officials said one occupant in the car was seriously injured and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.

None of the students on the bus were seriously hurt, said Kristin Banfield, spokeswoman for the city of Arlington.

State troopers and emergency crews responded to the scene, on Highway 530 near Whitman Road near Oso, at about 3:55 p.m.

The crash scene is near Oso, roughly halfway between Arlington and Darrington in Snohomish County. The accident earlier blocked all lanes of the highway, according to the state Department of Transportation.

Aerial footage shot by KOMO's Air 4 showed severe damage to the car. The school bus was off to the side of the highway with its tires shredded and other damage to the vehicle.
