Woman killed in Auburn crash
AUBURN, Wash. -- A woman was killed Friday afternoon when the car she was driving was broadsided by a pickup truck in Auburn.

Police shut down Auburn Way South from Academy Drive to 368th Place after the crash about 1:45 p.m. The road was closed for several hours while detectives investigated the crash.

Officials said the 41-year-old woman was in a driveway waiting to turn onto Auburn Way when the pickup truck drifted off the road and slammed into the driver's side of the station wagon.

The woman, who has not been identified, was killed instantly.
