4 dead in two-car crash in Marysville
MARYSVILLE, Wash. (AP) - The driver of a car that ran a stop sign and killed four people in another car on Highway 9 near Marysville was arrested for investigation of drunken driving.

The Washington State Patrol says the four killed Sunday night were two couples from Snohomish - 54-year-old Bradley and 48-year-old Melissa Agerup and 57-year-old Thomas and 62-year-old Hilda Woods.

Trooper Keith Leary says all four victims were in a southbound car that was struck by the vehicle that ran the stop sign.

Leary says the driver of that car had minor injuries and initially ran from the scene, but was persuaded by a nearby resident to return.

Charges are pending against the 27-year-old Snohomish man. A passenger in his car also was injured.
