3 seriously hurt in North Seattle crash
SEATTLE -- Three people were critically injured in a two-car crash in North Seattle on Thursday night.
Investigators said a car headed south on 3rd Avenue NW rammed into an oncoming Mercedes head-on at NW 137th around 8 p.m.
The driver and the passenger of the Mercedes were extricated from the mangled wreckage, and rushed to a nearby hospital with critical injuries.
A person in the other car was also critically hurt. A fourth person in the same car was not seriously hurt.
Investigators have not determined the cause of the crash, but witnesses said they saw the car speeding before it crashed into the Mercedes.
No other information was immediately available, and the investigation is ongoing.
