8-year sentence for Richland child rape
RICHLAND, Wash. (AP) - A man who worked at a Richland day care was sentenced to nearly eight years in prison for raping a 2-year-old boy.
The sentence given to 22-year-old Luca Anthony Miller on Thursday in Benton County Superior Court is a mandatory minimum. He could spend the rest of his life behind bars without approved sex offender treatment.
The Tri-City Herald reports Miller pleaded guilty to raping one child, but prosecutors said there were three other victims - two preschool boys and a girl.

This is gross!!! Not only because of the man raping a 2 year old baby (I cannot comprehend this) but that a judge found 8 years to be appropriate for this crime. Â Maybe this judge would like to get raped in the butt. Maybe when this wacko gets out he can go live with the judge and they can party down.

I am actually surprised that you appear to be surprised with your screen name. I attempt to have faith (ok, probably misplaced, I must admit) in society and look for the common good in all, therefore I have selected a "moderate" screen name. You on the other hand (I would assume based on your screen name) have given up on the value of the system and want radical change. ;-)

I apologize for apparently being obtuse in my reply. I was commenting on your surprise pertaining to the sentence in this case, not attempting to justify or display faith of the individual. In no way, shape or form would I think an anarchist would be "for" child rape, just fed up with the system that would, as an example, allow for incredibly light sentence for such a disgusting crime. Also, nowhere in my post did I give any illusion to having faith in a "baby raper", just a system, you jerk.

8 Years isnât enough. These types of animals (they are not human in any way) take away innocent childrenâs lives. These children and women never feel safe again, never trust people as they did before, they donât feel the same as they did before being violated. And that doesnât even start to describe what goes on inside their heads.
There is no such thing as Approved Sex Offender treatment. 98% of all sex offenders will tell you that the treatment they go thru, if they go thru it, does not stop the urge to offend again. The only treatment they deserve is a piece of lead or a short rope.
WA must love its rapist!!! we only give out 8 years for raping a 2year old and who knows what he did to him and the other two children mentioned....this is why we have the highest rate of pedophiles out there. Its easy for em...smh
What a joke! Only in WA is there such absurd sentences for such serious offenses! This guy should have gotten at least 20 years with no chance of parole. MINIMUM. 8 years is also the max sentence he would have gotten for driving drunk and killing a 2 year old. Insane in both cases.
I am hoping that there are extenuating circumstances (no idea what they could be) to this story that the judge took into consideration when handing down this sentence. Of course that is probably just me hoping that there are good, decent people that have societies best interest in mind within our criminal justice system.

8 Years...I wonder what the standard sentence is for strong arm robbery? Â It seems we value objects more than people...We need to change the sentencing guidelines.

....I would hope he would serve his sentence at Walla Walla in the general population with a forced tattoo on his forehead saying he's a child rapist so he could get an appropriate punishment, but not holding my breath that the DOC will do this.

He deserves life without parole. When he gets out there will be more children hurt. Why doesn't our court systems do the right thing??
If you give him life than you might as well sentence him to death. Why pay to house him for the next 60 years.
