Harborview treats 32 for fireworks injuries
SEATTLE (AP) - Harborview Medical Center in Seattle reports 32 fireworks injuries over the July 4th holiday period -- an equal 16 on the Fourth itself and another 16 in the days before the Fourth of July.

Spokeswoman Susan Gregg-Hanson says that compares with 11 fireworks injuries last year at Seattle's main trauma hospital.

She says there were a range of injuries -- from sparkler burns to explosives that blew off part of a man's thumb.

The 32 people include the man injured when a rocket exploded Tuesday night on a barge at Big Lake near Mount Vernon. He's in satisfactory condition.
