GIG HARBOR, Wash. (AP) - The State Patrol says a 58-year-old woman riding her 10-speed bicycle was struck and killed by a furniture-moving truck in Gig Harbor on Thursday at about 11:30 a.m.

Troopers identified the victim was Gloria Lavick of Gig Harbor.

Troopers say paramedics were transporting the unconscious Lavick to Madigan Army Medical Center when she was confirmed dead.

Criminal charges were not filed against the driver, who passed a field sobriety test on the scene. An investigation by the State Patrol is under way.
