1 airlifted after two semis crash on I-5 in Marysville

MARYSVILLE, Wash. -- At least one person was injured in a crash on Interstate 5 on Thursday.

Trooper Keith Leary said two semi trucks collided in the northbound lanes just north of 88th Street just before 10 p.m. One semi was slowing due to slowed traffic ahead when a following semi rear-ended the truck, Leary said.

The causing driver has been flown to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

All lanes of I-5 were closed near the scene of the accident for some time after the accident, and traffic was being diverted at 88th Street.
