Sounder trains resume service after suspicious package cleared

SEATTLE -- A suspicious package left on the tracks of a Sounder commuter train delayed several routes during the evening commute on Tuesday.
A Sound Transit spokesman said the package was found approximately 4.5 miles south of the King Street Station in Seattle at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Several routes were delayed, but the trains resumed service at approximately 6:10 p.m. after Burlington Northern Santa Fe authorities removed the suspicious item from the tracks.
Officials have not determined the contents of the package.
