Bremerton man found shot dead, wife arrested
BREMERTON, Wash. -- A man was found dead at his home, and his wife was booked into jail on Friday.
Dep. Scott Wilson said a family member reported the shooting in the 5900 block of Illahee Road NE at approximately 4:46 p.m.
Deputies arrived to find a man in his 80s dead with an apparent gunshot wound in the entry way of the home. The 79-year-old suspect was also found at the home, and arrested without incident.
"The motive at this point is unclear," Wilson said, adding records show deputies had responded to three prior "domestic-related issues" at the home in past years.
The woman has been booked into the Kitsap County Jail under investigation of first-degree murder. She is being held on $1 million bail.
