LONGVIEW, Wash. -- Terry Miracle was undoubtedly quick on his feet when he took down a fleeing burglar in his backyard last month.
Turns out the 82-year-old Longview man’s quick instincts also helped solve 30 crimes.
Morgan Bluehorse, the suspect – who’s a third of Miracle’s age – was wanted on 30 burglaries. Police say he confessed to breaking into homes or businesses in Longview, Kelso, other parts of Cowlitz County and Castle Rock.
So maybe it was a miracle when, after three dozen officers were hunting for Bluehorse, Miracle spotted the man running through his yard on Feb. 8 while Miracle was gardening. Miracle performed a cross-body block on Bluehorse, who was fleeing from police.
His story has gone viral on the Internet and attracted media outlets from throughout the world, from Portland, to London, to Australia.
“I’m amazed,” Miracle said. “Utterly amazed at the amount of attention.”
Miracle likes to cook and garden – he was doing the latter when he happen to catch the fleeing Bluehorse.
Now with 30 solved crimes in his back pocket, Miracle can get back to his other loves.
Just waiting to see the caught burglar has filed a lawsuit against this person for injuries sustained during his tackling!Â
30 burglaries... since the person does not have 30 limbs to cut off just execute the person and save the tax payers the money to lock him up for the six months he is likely to get!...the law system does not solve the problem when the sentence does not eliminate the chance for a person to re-offend!
Reminds me of the Happy Gilmore/Bob Barker match. You know how that one turned out. Â
Happy Gilmore: (punches Bob Barker)Â "The price is wrong beeoch!!"
Bob Barker: (gets up and kicks Happy's arse). "I think you've had enough... beeoch"Â

@the unvarnished truth my money is on six months!...and the loser later sues the person who tackled him for 'injuries'!
@the unvarnished truth He will plead down to JayWalking4................
@the unvarnished truth 30 burglaries wouldn't put him away for very long. Even if convicted of all of them, this state has determinate sentencing with a specific (recommended) range for the judge to consider. How long he serves will be based upon what he's convicted/pleas to in combination with an offender score based on previous convictions. Most likely the multiple convictions would be sentenced concurrently and not consecutively. Thus, he'd likely only serve the longest of the individual sentences he'd be convicted of.
@ForYourEyesOnly @the unvarnished truth You're probably right about concurrently served sentences. IMO those are no deterrent. If every criminal knew his sentences would be consecutive there might be a change in the amount of crime by one individual.
@the unvarnished truth: Â We shall see Xur. Â We shall see.
Mr. Miracle, you are one tough dude! Â Awesome job, congrats. Â May you have many more happy, healthy years!
He's got guts, and sometimes guts are enough! Good going Mr. Miracle!
