Additional victims sought in Graham child porn case
TACOMA, Wash. -- A father of young girls from Graham is suspected of producing his own child pornography.
Teryle Smith, 43, has been charged with possession and distribution of child porn. Investigators say he is also likely to face charges of producing the material, which depict girls between 6 and 14 years old.
Investigators have identified two victims so far, but they have reason to believe there are more.
"We're concerned that there are additional victims out there that we've not yet identified, based on what we found in executing the search warrant on the suspect's vehicle and residence," said Lt. Ron Mead of Washington State Patrol.
According to court documents, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a tip that Smith was sending and receiving child porn. WSP's Missing and Exploited Children's Task Force picked up the investigation, and Smith was arrested Monday.
Even though Smith admitted to possessing images and videos of girls "who could be underage," he pleaded not guilty to the charges on Tuesday.
Investigators said Smith also posted pictures and videos of him reacting in a sexual way as he viewed child porn. In this aspect, the case proved eerily similar to Steven Powell's, prosecutors said. Powell, too, took photos of himself reacting in a sexual way while viewing photos of young neighbor girls.
"There's a fetish at play that's similar to what we had at play with the Powell case," said Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist.
The concern now is to find the other victims who are depicted in the material seized from Smith's Graham home and car. Investigators believe Smith is the one who produced those child porn images.
"We have information that some of that manufacture would include victims that he victimized himself," Mead said.
The prosecutor requested $500,000 bail; however, the judge ordered Smith held on $150,000 bail. He was also ordered to have no contact with children, including his own. Smith's children have been placed in protective custody.
Anyone with information on additional victims is urged to contact detectives immediately at 360-704-2400.

I worked with this BAST**D at the WA emissions station. All of us including customers and vendors had nothing but issues with him. When we brought this up to HR they did absolutely NOTHING about it and let him continue to be the manager at the station and allowed him to harass us even more. I guess it goes to show that businesses really need to listen to their employees more.
I feel sorry for every child that was involved (including his own) and I feel he should be locked up for LIFE (his wife should be locked up with him since she did nothing about it), he should be castrated and share a cell with âBubbaâ so Bubba can have a nice cuddle bear/B***H every night. It is past time that judges are thoroughly vetted for their soft heart for child predators. the prosecutor asked for $500,000 and the judge reduced it. what a bleeding heart for an evil man. the judge needs to be terminated for questionable conduct. wish the citizens of WA could find class action suits against lawyers and judges for bad practice (malpractice).
A predator of children has no reason to be on the planet. Â

Out of all the types of criminals in the world pedophiles are at the absolute bottom of the scum list. Once, just once, I would like read a story that reports a mass killing of pedophiles out in the middle of s desert or something. After seeing so many similarities to the Powell case, and knowing how THAT one ended, the judge LOWERS the requested bail amount? Well, so much for my dinner. All of a sudden, I've lost my appetite.

$150,000 bail?!?! I just read on another news site about a guy charged with identity theft in Pierce County today got $300,000 bail. That is not right.
