Missing Kent girl found safe, search ongoing for dad
KENT, Wash. -- Police have located the 8-year-old Kent girl whose disappearance prompted an Amber Alert on Friday.
The girl had been taken by her father on Wednesday during a domestic dispute. She was dropped off at a neighbor's home on Friday evening around 9 p.m.
Her father, 37-year-old Hung Bao Nguyen, remained at large.
Police were looking for a 1998 black Ford F-150 with Washington license plate number B27504V.
Nguyen is wanted for felony harassment, second-degree arson and assault, and should not be approached.

Absent a court order Parent has the rights to his kids even in a dispicable as it is. Amber alert was for him due to his pending charges which it's not to be used for. Anyway glad shes safe and doesn't get to see her Daddy arrested.
Why did they wait 2 days before issuing an amber alert?
 @PrairieDawn The Amber Alert manager was off sick with the flu. Coworkers later found the boss the next day at the casino

Don't know the situation as to what stemmed this father to run with his daughter but being a parent and knowing the custody legal battle... its hard on the kids...especially when they love the parent that they can't be with...which to me sounds like thats the case with this situation...my prayers go out to this family to find positive resolution cuz in the end the children are the ones whom are impacted by this custody battle...
The sky is falling, the SKY is falling!! Honestly folks...the Amber alert should only apply to stranger abductions.  As usual the child in this "friendly abduction" case is found alive and well.

What an absurd statement.
 @dylandawgie He is wanted for assault, arson and harassment and this is a "friendly" abduction? I dont think it is a good assumption that all people that can make a kid should have custody or even be in an unsupervised relationship with their kid. Plenty of children have been killed by a parent after a marriage falls apart.Â

 @dylandawgie Opposing parents kill their kids. They toss them off bridges. They blow them up in houses. They drown them, suffocate them, and shoot them. It is an opposing parent that is far more a danger to a child than a stranger.Â
 @justsaying  @dylandawgie You can blame the King county court system for many custodial incidents. They always give the children to the mother. The mother could be a prostitute,druggie but still get custody.

I would bet that with his charges he knew he was going to go away, and he wanted to give his daughter some good memory's of father and daughter times.Â
Sounds like he got scared and let her go.Â
