Amber Alert issued for missing Kent girl, car sought
KENT, Wash. -- An Amber Alert has been issued for an 8-year-old Kent girl who was taken by her father during a domestic dispute on Wednesday morning.
Investigators said Anh Bao Nguyen-Duffy has not been at school since, and her whereabouts were not known. She is believed to be with her father, 37-year-old Hung Bao Nguyen. The two were last seen in the 10300 block of SE 264th Street in Kent.
Police are now looking for a 1998 black Ford F-150 with Washington license plate number B27504V in connection with the girl's disappearance.
The father's photo was not available. He is said to stand 5 foot 7 inches tall and weigh approximately 145 pounds. Police said he is wanted for felony harassment, second-degree arson and assault, and should not be approached.
The girl is 3-foot-5 and weighs about 45 pounds. She has straight black hair with red highlights, and was last seen wearing a white jacket, jeans and green shoes.
Anyone with information on the pair's whereabouts is urged to call 911 immediately.

As usual this child in this "friendly abduction" case is found alive and well.
 @dylandawgie As a parent I'm thankful to have something in place to alert the community immediately when a child is not where they're supposed to be. I'd rather have a MILLION "found alive and well"s than not have this system in place.Â

Keep in mind that at the time of an Amber Alert being activated, the parent calling has no idea where there child is. Someone with the slightest degree of empathy would understand how terrifying that is.
The girl has just been found safe at someone's house; the father is still on the run. Girl is back with her mom!!!
Stop!!!!! Why is everyone blamming the dad and the mom on here. Why don't you guys grow up and worry about the important thing. THAT IS TO FIND THIS LITTLE GIRL.
We live in the 21st century, when the alert comes on TV why does it sound like a radio transmission from the 1800's? It's barely understandable. Who controls this sort of thing?
So anyone trying to defend that dad now better think of reading the update and seeing what else he's wanted for before they say anything else completely stupid.

Since when is it illegal for a parent to take a child anywhere. This is a civil issue not a criminal issue.

 @komoispropaganda You know what? All that matters is that the police provide the info for the Amber Alert for the public to be aware of and be on the lookout for! That's the first and only thing that matters! Once that info's out, then they can afford to follow it up with more info behind the suspect! People like you need to understand that we do not have these Amber Alerts out for nothing! In a nutshell, the info needs to be prioritized!
 @Zoso I'm not standing by anyone. I'm looking at the article and see no information that says this guy has done anything wrong. You know, innocent until proven, or at least some evidence that says this guy has done something that is bad. Conviction by media is quite popular, as your attitude shows.

Well lets just hope Dad is sane. That being said, I thought an Amber Alert was for an abduction were seconds count? I mean, if he is running he has got a 2 day head start. By truck he could be in Mexico or just about anywhere in the U.S. by now. Verizon sent the Alert via phone.

First off...If you don't know what an F150 is, seriously?? Â They did say PICKUP! Â And OBVIOUSLY they are only now announcing it because it was only now reported to them. Get a grip people and just look for the truck. Â Where I live it was an emergency bulletin across the television and radio.

I am hoping people aren't concerned about freaking charges on their cell bill, over AMBER ALERTS, or Weather alerts. Â I am almost 99.9% they are free. Â Though I am almost 99% someone will prove me wrong.

Praying that even though dad is obviously mad at mom, he's taking good care of his little one and she will be found safe and sound. Sad that he has to use the little girl as a weapon. Hopefully she has no clue that her parents were fighting and that Mommy doesn't know where she is.

Hi all! Here's my story: My husband has been smoking pot regularly for about 15 years. He is now trying to quit and the symptoms are harsh on me. I also smoke, however I'm more of a couple of times a week smoker. I was smoking more regularly, but mostly because of him. I have only been smoking for a couple of years also. I am also trying to quit, but honestly, the worst part is not the quitting but putting up with his moods. He has become very angry and I know that is probably the withdrawal symptoms, but it still hurts. He is not violent or anything, but living with him like this sucks. It hasn't been very long since he quit, does anyone have experience with how long the withdrawal symptoms last?Â
