WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- An Amber Alert was issued Thursday night for a missing 8-year-old Walla Walla girl who may be in danger.

Police began to worry about Jasmine Sphuler Thursday evening when she called a family friend to say she saw her mother cut her own wrists.

When officers arrived at the family home, neither Jasmine nor her mom, 28-year-old Lizabeth Sphuler, was home. Police searched the house and found blood. They say Lizabeth is distraught over a break up and may have left the area with Jasmine.

Police say Lizabeth may be driving a white 2005 Jeep Cherokee with Washington license plate number 552WUP. She may be driving to Lewiston, Idaho, according to police.

Jasmine stands 4'8" tall and weighs 60 pounds. She has long brown hair and almond-shaped eyes. Lizabeth stands 5'6" tall and weighs 116 pounds. She has brown hair.
