Armed robbers target Bothell fruit market
BOTHELL, Wash. -- Police are on the hunt for a pair of armed robbers who held up a local fruit market Sunday night.
Police say two men entered Bothell's Yakima Fruit Market just before 8:45 p.m. The business, located in the 17300 block of SR-522, was closed at the time and only one employee was inside.
With ski masks covering their faces, the gunmen grabbed the night manager and demanded money. The manager, a 26-year-old Bothell man, gave the robbers an unknown amount of cash.
The men then tied the manager's hands behind his back and forced him to the floor before leaving on foot.
The manager wasn't injured.
Police say both robbers appear to be white men in their 20s. One man stands roughly 6'2" tall and weighs 230 pounds. He was wearing a black ski mask, black or navy blue FILA windshirt and jeans. He was holding what looks to be a black semi-automatic handgun.
The second man stands 5'8" tall and weighs roughly 160 pounds. He was wearing a black hoodie, jeans and a fitted ski mask.
