CAMARILLO, Calif. - After months of dropping, gas prices are back on the upswing in most of the United States, yet continue to fall in Washington state.
The average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has surged seven cents in the last three weeks. That's according to the Lundberg Survey of fuel prices, released Sunday, which puts the price of a gallon of regular at $3.32. Midgrade costs an average of $3.50 a gallon, and premium is $3.63.
But in Washington state, gas prices continued to fall slightly to $3.38 for a gallon of regular from $3.40 last week, according to AAA. Mid grade fell to $3.51 from $3.52, and premium fell to $3.62 from $3.63.
In Washington state, gas prices are lowest in Spokane, where the average price for a gallon of regular is $3.06, and highest in Bellingham, at $3.51 a gallon.
Of the places surveyed in the lower 48 states, Salt Lake City has the nation's lowest average price at $3.04. Long Island, N.Y. has the highest at $3.75.

How is $3.13 to $3.31 falling?
Falling? Seriously, KOMO?! See, this is the kind of things that happens when you let your staff take marijuana smoke breaks!
They definitely haven't been falling here either.
Down? The local arco has gone up 10cents in the last week, oil is up to 93dollars a barrel, it's only gonna go up.
Not in the part of washington I live in. Somebody's dreaming.
@KwikKat51 Go to Fred Meyers grocery store/gas station  in Everett, WA and get it for $3.179 regular......
Now you people do know that higher energy prices are the goal of certain shadowy elements within our government, right? Oh sure, every once in a while, certain Senators will throw crumbs to the base about "Big Bad Oil" but in reality, they meet in D.C basements and snicker at the suckers that fall for their shtick.

@TruthinAdverts Did I mention they're smoking Cuban cigars. as well?
BS!! Show me where in Washington the Gas prices have fallen in the Last 2 weeks. I'm sick of KOMO's misinformation. Your a local News agency KOMO report about local new issues.
@Seahawker Gasbuddy.com - a crowd sourced list of info. Washington shows the price has dropped moderately since 1-6 state wide. From 3.38 to 3.36.  That is a state average. 3.23@ my local Mini-mart/USA is about as low as I have seen it all month.
Â
I am hoping for $5.00 average cost per gallon please sometime this year in Washington State.
@m9078jk3 Yeah, Screw those working @ minimum wage, we have an agenda to push.
@m9078jk3 Me too,  Then maybe the retail price of things will drop, cause no one has the $$ to buy food and clothing, etc....
Still falling? Then can somebody explain the 15 cent per gallon CLIMB over the last three weeks in the Olympia area??
Â
And why haven't we heard from our great Senators about this rise in price? Oh wait, they've been re-elected so they don't need to answer to the voters for now....

Â
Paging Captain Obvious! Your palm-slap is ready!
@Veteran They've been talking about the rise in price...in the form of additional gas taxes.
Stand by, well probably get more taxes on it soon. Can't have gasoline that much less in this state and since it is may as well take advantage of it.
Where in Washington are the prices going down?Â
Oh gee golly wiz Wally, down to $3.32? Gosh thanks big government, my behind doesn't feel sore at all any longer.

@TruthinAdverts  @Shelly Right, as if gas prices are the direct fault of one or the other. They both are sucking at that teat for all they can get.
What the hell? Whoever wrote this article needs to pull their head out of their ass. Gas prices been going up in Washington, not down.
@Steven Aet You beat me to it. I was thinking the same thing. I was wondering what the person was smoking when they wrote this article. Lol
Where's it falling in Washington. I sure as heck don't see it. It's creeping back up from what I see.
@DeeDee Maybe in eastern Wa. but surely not at any of the stations you or I  frequent on this side of the mountain.
