Body found in water off Pier 57 in Seattle
SEATTLE -- Seattle police are investigating the death of a person whose body was found floating in Elliot Bay early Monday.

Seattle Fire Department spokesman Kyle Moore said the body was found just before 7 a.m. off Pier 57 on the city's waterfront.

A construction worker who called 911 initially told a dispatcher that it looked like the person was wearing a life jacket, but officials said it was just a normal jacket.

Seattle police say the victim is a 36-year-old man from Montana and there are no signs of foul play or trauma. An autopsy is scheduled but police said it was most likely an accidental drowning.
