Body of missing Kirkland rafter recovered from Klickitat River

GOLDENDALE, Wash. (AP) - The Klickitat County sheriff's office says the body of a missing Kirkland rafter has been found, nearly a week after the man was last seen on the Klickitat River in southern Washington.

KPTV reports the body of 23-year-old Christopher Dube was found last Friday between Fisher Hill Falls and the Columbia River.

Search and rescue volunteers had to climb down a sheer rock face to recover the body.

Dube was last seen going over the falls July 5.
