WICHITA, Kans. -- An enormous Boeing 747 LCF Dreamlifter spent much of Wednesday night parked on a runway at Wichita's Jabara Airport, and it may have landed at the airport by mistake

The Dreamlifter landed at the airport Wednesday night. Wichita's KAKE reported the plane may have touched down at the runway by mistake, though FAA officials had yet to confirm that.

Boeing sent a tug to the airport in an effort to move the jet, but the process was expected to take time, according to KAKE

Several people tell KAKE News the Dreamlifter is too large for the Jabara's 6,100-foot runway.

In a Wednesday night statement, Boeing International Sales & Strategy Communications Manager Dmitry Krol said the plane was originally bound for McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, but instead landed at Jabara Airport.

It's unclear why the plane landed at Jabara.
