SEATTLE -- Several streets in downtown Seattle near Third and Seneca were reopened after 5 a.m. Monday after a bomb squad destroyed a suspicious device an FBI office.
Federal security agents reported the device about 2:30 a.m. and the Seattle police bomb squad used a robot to destroy it with a controlled blast.
FBI spokeswoman Ayn Dietrich said the device turned out to be a flashlight with a red LED. There was nothing hazardous and she said the department did not recieve any threats related to the package.
The building is not marked as an FBI field office and there's no indication whether the device was left on the sidewalk accidentally or intentionally.

I can't help but wonder what they'd do if it had been a gift-wrapped sex toy.
There is an unmarked FBI office at /near 3rd & Seneca? Secret no more! Sounds like a secret drill conducted by the Secret Service if you ask me.
Found what appeared to be sticks of dynamite laying beside I-5 in Longview once. Called the WSP, they said they couldn't find it.lol It was laying right beside the road. So I turned my semi around and drove back and parked about a hundred yards from the. Walked up and saw they were just empty cardboard tubes. WSP car came flying up and slammed on his brakes behind my semi, as he got out I kicked at the tubes and he went flying over the trunk to get out of the way.lol He didn't think it was too funny.
I will say..... without fear.... Not a fan of the Feds..... I realize one has to be safe.... but.... this is hilarious... a flashlight... ha! ha! I also know why they overreacted and respect their decision to call in the bomb squad.... I believe in the states somewhere flashlight bombs were placed throughout a city.... Flashlight bombs are real... look it up.

I am impressed that they were able to determine it was a flash light after they blew it up in a controlled blast. Good forensic exercise! ;-)
Gotta watch out for them scary flashlights.
