Bremerton man accused of slipping meth to wife
BREMERTON, Wash. (AP) - A Bremerton man is accused of secretly slipping methamphetamine into his wife's cigarette in a plan to make her join him in addiction.
Police say the man wanted his wife to experience a meth high so she'd understand why he likes it so much. He gave her a cigarette Saturday that had been spiked with the drug.
The Kitsap Sun reports she started freaking out and he told her what he had done.
The woman called police Sunday and the 20-year-old man was arrested for investigation of assault.
The man had reportedly told friends he had a 15-point plan to get his wife addicted to meth.

There is a special place in Hell for SOB's like this.
This is right up there with the guy who got convicted for trying to give his wife HIV because he didn't want to have to wear a condom...
How is a 15-point plan not premeditated?Â
@MargeGunderson Seriously! Seems the demons were lonely for "company"!
I think maybe this wife just got saved a world of hurt... if she has sense enough to take the hint...
Very sad, but maybe better to learn earlier than later...
@JLS1950 @MargeGunderson And one would hope that her divorce papers will be served on the sonofa, er, *individual* while he's still in pre-trial motions.
Nice friends that would even not tell her what a jerk he is.
Gee Honey! I cut that stuff off while you were passed out because I wanted you to know why I like being a woman.
Oh I believe it. True signs of a true meth head!
Honey I love you so much that I want you to get addicted to meth!! This is the stupidest thing i have ever heard.
Misery loves company.Â
Knowingly making someone addicted is "partial murder", if they ever make it out, they are still scarred for life. Â This was an attempt at it.
@Komo Dragon For what hellish death it leads to both directly (ODing or driving impaired and crashing) and indirectly (eating you alive from the inside out), it should qualify for an aggravating circumstance just like a prolonged torture would.Â
Â
Which brings up your second point, even if the forced addicts do make it out they likely have a shortened lifespan from the damage even a few uses does to one's liver, lungs, heart, etc.Â
@MargeGunderson It's a little like having AIDS and having unprotected sex with someone who does not, knowingly
@MargeGunderson nightmares during and from withdrawal... lost relationships, loss of teeth & gums, scurvy like symptoms from malnutrition, a.s.o.Â
I predict a divorce in their future very soon if she has any sense at all.
@4ShotLatte Good point, but if you were reading about the couple shortly after they met, you'd probably be saying, "I predict this not going anywhere if she has any sense at all."Â
Â
We've probably all fallen for some absolute nightmare candidates for spouses or life partners, some harder than others, some more often than others but men and women, we all have THAT ONE in the vault only our dearest friends can tease us about.
Â
Hopefully she got her stupid out of the way early on in life and chooses a real man next time, one who values her and vice versa. Never mind the mandatory "L"tattoo; Â this idiot needs an anvil tattooed onto his forehead to warn everyone exactly where he's headed in life and exactly where he can take you.
@4ShotLatte If she hasn't divorced him yet knowing he was a meth addict, then I doubt she'll divorce him now.
@Robinsnest  @4ShotLatte You could be right, but hopefully this pushes her over the edge in making THAT decision.
This is not unusual. Â They don't think like we do. Â We used to volunteer in a recovery program, and more than once, the guys were slipped drugs when out on pass with their friends. Â They'd brew coffee with the filter used to make the drug or slip it into a cigarette. Â They didn't care about their friends' steps toward sobriety, they would sabotage it in an instant. Â It's sad.
@Doxie That is actually very very scary!Â
"We've replaced her Folger's crystals with crystal meth. Let's see if she notices...."
@nodozr Ha, well, it couldn't taste any worse, could it? If not for the mid-morning energy plummet hitting sooner and harder they probably wouldn't notice anything different at all.Â
 @nodozr I got it. Very nice!Â
If he wants to be addicted to meth, fine. That's his issue. He had no right to try to get his wife addicted. Glad she called the police when she found out what he'd done.
"Honey, I promise to honor and love you, through sickness and health, abuse and addict you, til stupidity or death do us part, whichever comes first. "
Â
Â
Are you SERIOUS?!?! Good for her for calling the cops on him.
I just cant get past the "15-point plan". A well organized meth head.........huh. Well I hope at this point the woman will realize she cant help this guy and only be sucked down the drain with him.
@Susabelle Meth heads have nothing better to do but cook up elaborate schemes in their deranged state after being up for days at a time.  Crazy.
Man this guy is a jerk. I hope they nail him to the wall
Pathetic.
Nice guy. Â
What a disgusting jerk. I would be kicking that loser to the curb. No way, I'd be sticking around.
This should be some kind of crime good for 5-7 years in the pen.
How about getting a 15 point plan to get rid of the addiction you idiot
@Larry*X*K I think in this idiot's case, a hollow point is the best plan.Â
All I can say is wow..... I hope she learns a lesson from this and makes better choices when picking a mate. Lesson #1: If you don't want to do drugs, don't shack up with someone who does....
@The WA Mama While I totally agree with you, in this case she was his wife, and it is highly possible that he was not a meth head when she married him. My ex was not a drunken idiot when I married him either - that came later.
@here_I_go_again  @The WA Mama I agree. My ex. was not a drunken fool either. That came quite a few years later as well.
I'm sure he will just tell her that he did it because he loved her and she will end up staying married to him. That seems to be the way these things usually turn out anyway.
This is the most F'd up thing I have read on this site since I started commenting on forums years back. If I was her and he had done that to me, the police would have been called and I would have been arrested for battery or worse.
@northwestsurfer Yes this was totally messed up...But this low life scum wasn't worth going to
jail for
@R. I wonder how rational each of us would react if and when it happened to us, especially being under the influence of a drug we were not expecting
@northwestsurfer @northwestsurfer I'm sure that everyone would react differently under those circumstances. But I hope that most people would have the common sense, to be able to leave a looser like this.
@Tattooed_Angel  @northwestsurfer Good one! After beating the snot out of him, I would say "Dear, look was meth does to me. Are you sure you still want to go ahead with that 15 point plan?"
@northwestsurfer I would have beat the snot out of him and then blamed it on the drug.
While the man is in jail awaiting various legal actions, the woman should take the kids and disappear!
That should carry a much bigger charge than assault. Wow.   So hubby thought that he wanted her to enjoy meth as much as he does?  He must be early in the game with it... as I doubt he'd be as excited to see his bride covered in open sores, losing her teeth, down to 5% body fat with her skin hanging off her bones, hair falling out.  Or perhaps they could have kids that end up taken away by the  authorities after the police find them wandering around on the street because Mommy and Daddy are too high to remember where they left them.   Or maybe he and the other fools that try meth are looking forward to stealing from family members, losing your job, eventually becoming so craven that you would kill your our grandparents for meth money,  or maybe just maybe he was hoping she'd be able to take part in being murdered by a meth dealer that hadn't been paid?    The single worst thing you could do in your life is try meth ONCE. You might as well kill yourself instead... it's be quicker and more pleasant.  Â
Â
His wife needs to choose a better man in the future.Â
I live next door to a meth house. All you said is correct. And WAY more, as well as worse. The neighborhood can't get the place shut down. NOT fun to live around.
@Beau's Mom That is what drywall screws and 5 gallons of diesel is for.  I also had the house next door sprout meth heads...the landlord didnt care..the rent got paid, i had used paraphernalia all over my yard as well as used condoms in the shrubbery.
Â
Took 6 months to get it shut down and that was after prodding the local police with the feds.
This has been a year and a half. The police are over there for one thing or another constantly for one thing or another, Stolen cars, warrants, 2 swat teams, a bounty hunter, people going crazy in the middle of the night, but nothing ever gets it closed down. The owner is the head methhead, so we can't threaten a landlord. I have lived in my house for over 30 years and it is disgusting to have to live next door to a drug flop house. The world has gone crazy....
I am so lost on how you would even spike a cigarette. I know drinks (doesn't matter if its soda or vodka) are spike with it......... What the hell is a 15 point plan?????? What in the hell is this women doing with a guy like that in the first place? She just comes out as a strong person, who wants nothing to do with meth, but she is with this guy. This story makes me scratch my head in confusion more than anything.
@Just my say He may of once been a pretty normal guy at one time and then took a seriously wrong turn. I hope this opens her eyes and she gets out.Â
