Car, driver sought in fatal Maple Leaf road-rage incident

SEATTLE -- Police say new video is giving them a glimpse at a suspected killer. And they are asking for the public's help identifying the getaway driver.
As each day passes, time takes a toll at the intersection at 75th Street and 15th Avenue where a road-rage incident claimed the life of Yancy Noll on Friday. But even as people pass and flowers wilt, a friend's resolve refuses to wane.
"I've never experienced a friend being taken from me in that violent of a way," said Joby Sewell who lose his friend, mentor, and fellow wine aficionado.
Corks, cards and condolences mark the spot where police say Noll was killed. They don't know exactly how or why, but they now have a hint as to who may have been involved.
A surveillance camera captured the incident. Police say the person who pulled up to Noll and fired was driving a silver BMW convertible Z4. The car may have body damage and a broken passenger-side window, investigators say, and the driver was a well-dressed white or Asian man in his 20s or 30s with slicked-back dark hair.
Friends say Noll was an avid outdoorsman with a sharp sense of humor and a passion for life. As for the person who cut Noll's life short, Sewell says time isn't on their side.
"You have to live with yourself, and I think you probably need to come forward and come clean if you want to have a clean conscience," he said.
Anyone with information on the case is urged to call police immediately.

Senseless...  Fitting, for a wine steward, that people were dropping corks at the remembrance site.  I'm hoping that "well dressed" means that the BMW wasn't stolen and it's only a matter of time before the killer is caught.Â
Car was probably stolen.
Everyone should do their part to find this guy. I walked around my work and apt building's garages looking for that car. I also kept an eye out for it as I ran my errands. If everyone else did the same, he should be caught in no time.
I would not want to be driving a car like that today. It gives all of them a different reputation. It's the car everybody is looking for. If this guy is smart, he'll be taking the bus.
@Elvis Someone knows him and knows he drives this car. If they see him taking the bus or driving something else, they should be suspicious. PLEASE - if you know him, turn him in.
Yes, they are able to look up all cars by their make etc. This one, they even know the model and color, should be a quick find. Need to take this scum off the streets..
I know BMW drivers think they own the road but this is ridiculous.
@cyclops Hey, don't put us in a bubble... not cool! I'm nice, I promise! :)
@MJ Generally speaking of course.  It just seems like more do than don't so please don't feel offended.  You just happen to belong to a group who has been typecast.
Are the cops able to use DMV records to pull up every registered vehicle matching the description? Then it would be a process of elimination to find a suspect matching the description.
Â
He's just some cowardly punk who thinks he's not going to get caught. However, based off of his description, the car he drove, and the fact that he killed someone, IMO he also sounds like he'd be a cocky SOB so most likely he will be stupid enough to brag about what he did and he'll get caught. Hopefully sooner than later.
@Tattooed_Angel Since it's not like a Honda or Toyota it'll be a smaller pool to pull from. Hope they catch this guy.
You can run, chump...but you can't hide. Why don't you you go outside right now and practice falling down. And when they catch up to you, do us all a favor and PLEASE resist arrest.
It's bad enough this loser can't control his anger and has now killed someone, but to top it off he's a coward who won't step up. This hurts the family of the man he killed further, knowing this guy is still out there running around. Come on someone, turn your coward acquaintance in. He's not man enough to do it himself. Would you want someone to kill your family member and then just drive away? This guy should not be on the road. He is a danger to everyone. Turn him in. Have a conscience. Think of the poor guy he killed. He's liable to execute more people. Anyone who wouldn't want this to happen to themselves or their family member should turn this guy in.
Bad boys watcha gon, watcha gon, watcha gonna do? When SPD come for you...  Man, I didn't know I was such a good singer!
@JackBauer Haha! Now that songs gonna be stuck in my head for the rest of the day!
 @JackBauer You're not.
This greaseball isn't turning himself in - what's his incentive? Hopefully the gravity of what he has done is sinking in somethin' fierce, and is completely eating away at him, as he thinks to himself "HOW STUPID WAS I?????".
As I stated earlier - YOU ARE TOAST, CHUMP!
TURN YOURSELF IN
Tick Tock. Tick Tock. They are coming for you scum. You can't run far enough, you can't hide long enough. They'll sniff you out where ever you are. Tick Tock. Tick Tock.
Â
Scum are cowards, not men. Cowards are single celled organisms. Bet you don't even know what that means do you, scum?
Probably a gang banger / drug dealer. No doubt the wall of silence and anti-police culture in the area will prevent the shooter from being found.Â
Remember how they got Christopher Monfort? Â It just took one phone call from his neighbor. Â Time is ticking. Â Turn yourself in! Â Now!!
There can't be many BMW Z4 convertibles in the area. They will be coming for you; think about that day and night until there is that knock on the door, murderer.Â
Someone knows this guy and right now you are thinking was it him?? If you have any doubt let the police sort it out and go with your initial instinct which is telling you it might be the person you know. Â Even if he is the "nicest guy" report it....
Not only does the suspected killer have to live with himself, but the people who know him. You know dam* well that someone knows who he is. Remember that not turning him in, makes you guilty as well. Just ask the Clemmons clan. Please come forward.
