Child luring case leads deputies to cache of drugs, guns and porn

EAST WENATCHEE, Wash. -- An alleged child luring in East Wenatchee led Douglas County sheriff's deputies to a home filled with drugs, guns, money and pornography.
Two 10-year-old girls were in the 300 block of North Larch Street Avenue Saturday at roughly 11:45 p.m. when they said a man tried to lure them into his truck. The girls ran home and told their parents, who call the sheriff's office.
Deputies were somehow able to identify and locate the suspect, 56-year-old Robert McCullough, at his East Wenatchee home a short time later. While asking about the alleged luring attempt, deputies noticed a large amount of pornography and a strong smell of marijuana. McCullough, who is a convicted felon, also admitted to the deputies that he had guns at the house.
After getting a warrant to search the home, the deputies found a semi-automatic shotgun, 23.5 grams of cocaine and 20 large marijuana plants. They also found a significant amount of marijuana in canning jars and bags. McCullough also had $1,200 in cash, which deputies suspect came from drug sales.
McCullough was arrested and booked into the Chelan County Jail on drug charges. He could also face charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm and investigators are still looking into the attempted luring case.

A pair of 10 yr olds hanging out on a street corner at midnight? Where in the hell are their parents?
 @fumblefacedolt exaaaaactly
What the EFF are 10 year olds out at that hour!?!?! What the hell are the parents thinking?!?!?!
Why on earth are two 10 year old girls outside at 11:45 pm?
@queenofthenight Perhaps a typo and they meant AM? I hope?
@lovestolearn I was actually hoping I'd come back to find it was an error and that KOMO corrected it but another news site reports it as PM as well.
@queenofthenight Thank you my first question exactly!!
Â
"Cache of guns" must be a typo. Also what kind of porn? Midget maybe? I really wish KOMO would hire some real journalists so we could at least get some of the story.
@KittySmasher cache - a hiding place, especially one in the ground, for ammunition,food, treasures, etc.

It's ok....it's just weed.
Career criminals. I'd love to hear what the defense attorney plans to peddle to try to spring this one.Â
A felon had guns? I thought that was against the law?
Â
@DarkParty And why are the probation officers doing random searches of his house and car to make sure he's staying legit?
@Magic 8 Ball Because there are so many people on parole and not enough correction officers. Comes down to a man power issue.
Let that be the good reason why you should tell somebody when approached, 'cause you never know what else it would lead to, like a big bust!
