Child luring case leads deputies to cache of drugs, guns and porn
EAST WENATCHEE, Wash. -- An alleged child luring in East Wenatchee led Douglas County sheriff's deputies to a home filled with drugs, guns, money and pornography.

Two 10-year-old girls were in the 300 block of North Larch Street Avenue Saturday at roughly 11:45 p.m. when they said a man tried to lure them into his truck. The girls ran home and told their parents, who call the sheriff's office.

Deputies were somehow able to identify and locate the suspect, 56-year-old Robert McCullough, at his East Wenatchee home a short time later. While asking about the alleged luring attempt, deputies noticed a large amount of pornography and a strong smell of marijuana. McCullough, who is a convicted felon, also admitted to the deputies that he had guns at the house.

After getting a warrant to search the home, the deputies found a semi-automatic shotgun, 23.5 grams of cocaine and 20 large marijuana plants. They also found a significant amount of marijuana in canning jars and bags. McCullough also had $1,200 in cash, which deputies suspect came from drug sales.

McCullough was arrested and booked into the Chelan County Jail on drug charges. He could also face charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm and investigators are still looking into the attempted luring case.
